The shop is located in the wooden office building of the Nuutajärvi Glass Village.
Nuutajärvi is the original home of Finnish glass art, with a history that reaches back to the year 1793.
The men of my family have been making glass here since the 1840s, while the women have carried on the tradition of shopkeeping.
Nuutajärvi is located in Urjala, on the shore of an idyllic lake and close to Highway 9, the main route connecting Turku and Tampere. It also lies along the scenic Taikayön matkailutie (“Magic Night Route”), which offers a particularly atmospheric way to travel from one destination to another. ✨
